Understanding Telehealth
Virtual Sessions With Our Pediatric Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, and Physical Therapists
Want to Work With Our Therapists But Live Outside LA? Don’t Fret!
We’ve been honored to virtually serve many families throughout the United States and internationally! While Covid-19 restricted our ability to provide in-person services and granted us the opportunity to fine tune our virtual services, our therapists have been serving the wider community through parent coaching and teletherapy sessions for years. We’re excited to continue expanding these services and provide little ones across the globe the services they need in order to thrive!
Many of our families have found that telehealth is an effective, convenient way of accessing services regardless of where they’re located. Our therapists have the experience and creativity necessary to make sure virtual sessions are just as engaging and effective as those done in person!
Our previous treatment sessions have targeted a wide range of skills, including but not limited to…
Social skills
Feeding
Articulation
Parent implementation of Dynamic Movement Intervention to help a child walk independently
Handwriting
Utensil use
Orofacial myofunctional therapy prior to tongue tie release
Executive functioning skills (planning, problem solving, etc.)
Telehealth sessions also allow us to get a better sense of your child’s home environment and provide recommendations for exercises and equipment that can be easily used at home to help your child meet their therapeutic goals. Whether you’re looking to implement a “sensory diet,” design a play area that will target skills your child struggles with, seeking suggestions for developmentally appropriate toys or programs you can use at home, or you’d like input regarding your child’s IEP, we’re happy to provide you with the services you and your little one need!
In addition to providing one-on-one services with parents and/or directly with little ones, we also offer training sessions with nannies and other caretakers to provide your child with the most comprehensive care possible.
Please be advised: due to licensing restrictions, any telehealth sessions with participants outside of the state of California are considered parent coaching and therefore not eligible for insurance reimbursement.
